Getting started
Add money or a card for Meta's charges
Your Sendmint plan pays for Sendmint. WhatsApp's message charges are billed by Meta to the payment method in your own Meta account, and Sendmint adds no markup.
Step 1: Why Meta's charges are separate
Sendmint uses WhatsApp's official API directly, with no company in between. Meta charges for each message and bills it straight to the payment method in your Meta account. Sendmint adds no markup and has no wallet: your plan only pays for Sendmint.
Meta's rates in India: Marketing ₹0.8631, Utility ₹0.115 and Authentication ₹0.115 per message, plus 18% GST. Replies within 24 hours of a customer's message: the first 1,000 per number each month are free, then ₹0.115 each (from 1 October 2026).
Your plan goes to Sendmint, message charges go to Meta Step 2: Open billing in Meta
In Sendmint, go to Settings → Plan and billing and click Open Meta billing. It opens your business's payment settings in Meta Business Suite (Billing & payments). Log in with the Facebook account you used to connect your number. Meta may show this differently.
Meta's Billing & payments page for your business Step 3: Add money by UPI, or add a card
Choose your WhatsApp account and add a payment method. You can add money in advance (prepaid, for example by UPI), or add a credit or debit card that Meta charges for the messages you send. Meta may show these options differently.
Prepaid by UPI, or a card Step 4: Check it in Sendmint
Back in Sendmint, Settings → WhatsApp number shows Payment method for Meta charges: Added in Meta. If the yellow reminder is still there, click I've added it, check again.
Sendmint shows “Added in Meta” Step 5: If your Meta balance runs out
Meta stops sending, and Sendmint pauses the campaign: Paused: your Meta balance ran out. Add money in Meta, then press Resume. Nobody gets the message twice.

Common problems
Can I pay Meta's charges to Sendmint?
No. Sendmint only charges its monthly plan. Meta bills message charges directly to the payment method in your Meta account.
Why is Meta's bill different from the estimate?
The estimate counts everyone in the campaign. Meta charges for the messages it delivers, so the bill is often a little lower. Meta's bill is the final amount.
Is there GST?
Meta adds 18% GST to its message charges. Sendmint is not GST registered yet, so plan prices have no GST.
